Dog Diets and Foods

Dogs usually have a hearty appetite but some may be quite choosy about what they will eat. It is best to choose a good quality diet right from the start. If your pet does not eat at one meal time don't be tempted to change the food- many dogs will happily take a rest from eating at one meal and then make up for it later! Try not to change the food frequently since this may lead to tummy upsets. If you do need to introduce a new food do it slowly- adding a small amount to the usual diet initially, and gradually increasing the amounts over several days until the new food is being well accepted.
